Art, Experiences

Outer Journey Art, January 9th 2020

Art is a form of expression. Expressing feelings, beliefs, objects, or characters. Upon entering Sutton Galleries, my heart began to race at the excitement of what I was about to see. My eyes widen with each step that brought me close and close to the inside of the building. I was in awe with the raw beauty and talent that filled the room. Different forms of art coated the walls of the gallery, leaving no blank space to be seen. Paintings, sculptures, and furniture gathered in the two story gallery allowing for a variety of vision appeals. Brights lights shined down on each art display giving it the perfect glow for optimum sight. As I strolled upon the display I chose for this blog, my eyes were glued to the perfection of each brushstroke. The strokes were dramatically bold, shaping the faces of the four men, we all know as the Rolling Stones band. Each faced painted shared a common smile, that emanated happiness. Bright colors highlighted the curvature of their jawlines, conveying beautiful dimensions to his main subjects. The variations of colors: pink, orange, blue, yellow, green, red, and black were vibrantly stroked in a stimulating pattern, brilliantly carving each and every ridge that was created. The horizontal layout drew my eyes back and fourth along the painting from left to right. Depth and dimension blended smoothly as the texture transitioned from thick to thin, from one stroke to the next. The painting radiated positivism. Colorful, bright, lively, energetic. My mind was referred to joyful past times.
